KOOL 99.1 and Harry Ritchies Jewellers wants to thank you for telling us your love stories. They were all great but we had to narrow it down to one winner. Our winning story comes from Suzy Grant. Here's her story...
My husband Jim and I were married on July 28th 1984. In Dec. of 2011 he was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. He made it 13 months before we got the devastating news that a new tumor had grown and the chemo was no longer working. He is now on a new drug that is his last hope. I am afraid this will be our last Valentine’s day together and I would love to be able to go to Sweetwaters for a special meal. Our first nice meal as a married couple was at Sweetwaters and what a wonderful memory to have our final nice meal out at the same place. I know he would love to be able to give our 18 year old twin girls something special that he is able to pick out at Harry Richie’s as a keepsake they can always treasure from their dad. Money is very tight right now so this would be a special blessing. We are praying that he is able to survive for our girl’s graduation in June and our son’s wedding in July. When you are faced with a terminal diagnosis you really want to make the most of every day.
